Alhamdulillah, our General Manager Tariq Rasul has returned from the gruelling challenge of reaching the peak of Mount Snowdon as well as descending, all by foot only, and he is currently on his way home, Alhamdulillah. See a selection of pictures and a video from Tariq’s challenge above.
By the Grace of Allah, Tariq withstood incredible and extreme weather conditions, trekking many miles and reaching the mountain top which stands at 1085 metres above sea level.
The purpose of pursing this challenge was to raise funds for the Save Our Masjid (SOM) appeal for Croydon Islamic Community Trust. We desperately need the remaining £280K in order to buy our Masjid before Feb 2014, or face closing down! Read more about our cause and appeal here >>
