Provided for our community, by our community! Mouth watering iftaars, throughout the entire month of Ramadhan.
Alhamdulillah, our community is very generous and steadfast in engaging in good whilst reaping the rewards that our beloved Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings be upon him, has advised us that we can and should aspire to achieve.
Since opening in 2009, members of our community have provided generous (and very tasty!) iftaar meals for attendees of the Masjid during Ramadhan, giving brothers, sisters and our youth the opportunity to break their fast within the Masjid, as per the Sunnah.
On the authority of Zayd bin Khaalid Al Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessing be upon him, said: “Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in the fasting persons reward.” (At-Tirmidhi)
Croydon ICT attendees were spoilt with different cuisines on each night, and we were oversubscribed with requests to feed our community, Alhamdulillah.
May Allah bless and reward all of those who were so generous in feeding our community, and may Allah bless our entire community for engaging in the Sunnah of breaking their fasts in the Masjid together with the people, ameen. We look forward to Ramadhan 2013 InshaAllah, and we invite many more brothers and sisters to join us in our community iftaars!
