Course outline

What is the course about?

This course demystifies all the basics of Islam and Muslims.

The definition of Islam is the acceptance of and the obedience to the teachings of God which He revealed to His last Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessing be upon him). Those who accept this are known as Muslims. Islam is not only a religion, but a complete way of life.

The definition of a Muslim is a person who believes that there is no God except Allah, that the Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessing be upon him) is the last messenger of Allah sent to mankind and one who submits to the commands of Allah. Anyone who believes in this needs only to confirm their belief with a testimony of faith. Once this is done, Allah forgives all previous sins and the individual has a new start, committed to doing good and shunning evil and sin.
